Merry Christmas Lights

Time to start Christmas. We were very busy last week starting our Christmas preparations. I thought I had all the time under control, but every day I seemed to run over. Oh well, one day at a time.

Our first Christmas craft was some beautiful Christmas lights to decorate our room. These are pretty easy and the children can do most of it by themselves.

I actually had the lights cut out for the children, if time permits though, you can probably let the children cut them out themselves. I did have some trouble actually drawing a Christmas bulb. Luckily, I found a bulb on a computer program and printed it out to get the right shape.

The first thing the children did was to glue on the bottom part--the part that would screw into the cord.

After they do this let them squirt some glue around the bulb. Finally allow them to sprinkle glitter on the bulb.

When they were dry I hung them on the wall using a piece of yarn to reprensent the cord.

Very Merry!

I love this idea I bought some decoration for the room, but now I think I will do all student made decorations instead. I know the students are going to have a blast with this.
Thanks again
