We had a wonderful visitor today. I called him the Music Man. His name was Mr. Mike Kropp from our area and he does music programs for the children. He is relatively new to the area, so this was our first experience. I always enjoy doing music activities with children so I was glad to have this opportunity. Mr.Kropp is from a company called Makin' Music Rockin' Rhythms.
The children had such a fun time singing and dancing to his songs. He sang some songs we knew and also added some new songs to our memory. He brought some shaker eggs with him too. The kids really got a kick out of these. He spoke to them about rhythm and the beat and some even knew what he was talking about. He even let the children strum his guitar at the end of the program if they liked.
It was great fun and we all enjoyed his visit.

That sounds like a lot of fun!! When my daughter was teaching, she loved watching this video of Raffi play his guitar. It always seemed to soothe her. To this day, I'd love to send him a "Thank you" letter!! Even though my girls are getting older, they still enjoy listening to our Raffi CD's.
