Actually I am tooting my husband's horn. We learned today that our local Intermediate Unit is using one of our fingerplays in their therapy. A friend's child has been going to the intermediate unit and today in the session, the teacher said it was time to do some fingerplays.
Imagine our surprise when the teacher brought up the Jellyfish Fingerplay my husband came up with? I was shocked and amazed. They recommended the fingerplaly for "the proprioceptive input: clapping and coordinated finger waving." And here we were just trying to come up with a fun fingerplay about jellyfish!
I just thought it was pretty great that an institution to better develop children's skills found our fingerplay helpful!
