We are getting close to finishing our number books and number lines. I have to say I am very pleased with the outcome of the outcome of the number lines. I wasn't sure how they would work out, but I think they look nice--if I do say so myself.
During the month of December we added the numbers 4 and 5 to our books. If you recall I have been making the pages for our books myself, since I was having trouble finding exactly what I wanted.
For the numeral 4 we put "4 stars in the night sky." I had a picture of a moon and the children added 4 star stickers. The children did really well with writing the numeral 4 to--sometimes they really impress me. We then added 4 beads to the number line.
The last numeral of 2011 was 5. For 5 we put "5 ornaments on the tree." I had sequins out. The children used a Q-tip to put tacky on a tree--after they colored the tree-and add 5 ornaments. The trees turned out beautifully.
5 was very tricky for them to write. They were able to trace, but once on their own we hit a snag. It seemed they all wanted to make a two. They had trouble writing the lines first, then making a "backward" curve. They all gave it the old college try though!
January brings us 6, 7, and 8. We're almost finished. Only 9 and 10 left for February.

Wonderful blog! I found it while searching on Yahoo News. Do you have any tips on how to get listed in Yahoo News? I’ve been trying for a while but I never seem to get there! Many thanks.sbo
AIR JORDAN is in the family of color most of the Jordan, and the generation of shoes have marked the NIKE big word. The degree of curvature of shoes and grip at the time it is both rare is quite a level.
