The Cedarville Restaurant

Our Hot Chocolate Shop is now closed, but don't fret, we have opened a new entity--Cedarville Restaurant. One of the Pre-K teachers put this together for us.

If you have read before, you may know that I did a course on learning centers which stated how much fun, and how educational it is for young children, to introduce them to different types of centers.

We introduced the Hot Chocolate Shop, and The Cedarville Animal Hospital last year. This year we added something new, the restaurant.

Making the restaurant was fairly easy. We added a couple of tables, made up some menus, found a chef hat, and moved things around, but pretty much we had everything at the school already.

We have an area where people can call and make "reservations" and pay. We have the cooking area where the chef would work and we have some tables for the patrons to enjoy themselves.

The children are really enjoying dressing up and going out to eat. Also working and preparing lots of food for the customers. A good time for all.

Learning centers are great ways to make our children learn all kinds of contents through play. Dressing up is very important as well as "playing adults"-
