Black is Back

Last week was the color black--to go with Halloween of course.

On Tuesday we painted a black kitten. I used a baster brush to paint with to try to give the kitten a more furry look.

The next day we made a black bat. Some of the children have difficulty with this project. I use ripped paper to make the bat black. The children have to rip it into pieces and cover the bat shape. The ripping part can take some getting used to. Many of the children try to pull the paper apart. It takes some getting used to.
