Visiting the Vet

This past Thursday we were lucky enough to go visit a veterinarian hospital that one of the mom's in our class works at. It was a wonderful experience. We don't always get to enjoy these types of activities.
The children got to weigh themselves on the big scale. We saw an examination room. We saw where they do surgery, the PM class actually got to see a surgery going on!

We visited the dogs that were having their "day at the vet." Then it was off the to X-ray room--fun, fun, fun. Ms. Amy had x-rays of an owl, puppies, a parrot, a broken leg, and there may have been more, but that's all my memory is recalling. Each time she put up a new film she would say, "What does this look like?" Do you know what they said each time? If you said, "A dinosaur!", you would be right. They were great pictures though.

While we there in the morning a bird was brought in to have his foot taken care of. Then in the afternoon a turtle "stopped" by for a visit. It was really an interesting day.

Ms. Amy also showed a snake skin, a dog's tooth, kidney stones, ringworm, tapeworm, and of course some real ticks. I know---eeewww!

The "piece de resistance" for the children was their take home goodie bag. Ms. Amy had gotten them all a big blow-up tick to take home. They LOVED it. One of them even had the tick with them when they came to school today.

Thanks again so much to Ms. Amy for letting us visit. It was a great experience and such an enhancement to our animal hospital.

Pre-schools are the points where the child takes the first step of his independent life. Here he gets to learn so many stuffs like writting, socialising, and interacting with outsiders but ,i really loved this vet visit of the kids as they got to see and learn so many stuffs.
