I may be a little behind the times with this one, but I thought this was absolutely wonderful and unique. I had never seen anything like this before.
One of our students was recently celebrating his "unbirthday" day at school. All the children get to bring a special treat on their special day. This little boy brought in a "pizza." At first glance I really though it was a pizza. It was on on a covered tray and looked just like pepperoni pizza.
On further review we found it was a Rice Krispie Treat pizza. I wasn't sure how well it would go over with the class, but they ate it all--they loved it. I have to thank N's parents immensely for this wonderful idea.
For the pizza they had made Rice Krispie Treats mixture and pressed it out into a pizza shape.
Then they added the "sauce" which was strawberry jelly.
On top of that was the "cheese." This was frosting, slightly tinted yellow and sparingly sprinkled with green sugar crystals for the "seasonings."
The final touch were the "pepperoni." These were Fruit Roll-Ups/fruit leather cut into circles.
The pizza was then cut into triangles and passed out. All enjoyed a wonderful new treat.

What a great idea! And it looks very yummy!
That turned out awesome! I am making a pizza cake tomorrow for our pizza party on Sunday.... hope it turns out as well as the rice crispy one :)
I've never seen this. What a fun idea for a different special treat.
If you're behind, then I'm way out of the picture!
I can see why the kids would like it, but I'm pretty sure it would make me a little queasy. In fact, just the thought of jelly, fruit rolls and marshmallows is sort of getting to me . . . =)
this is such a cute idea. thanks for sharing!
I will definitely have to take your word for it:)
