In Like a Lion, Out Like a Lamb

A couple of months ago I vowed I would keep up with all these themes and holidays. I just can't seem to do it. They are here before I know it. Sorry.

March is here and our first theme, as I'm sure it is for others, is "In like a lion, out like a lamb." The first project have for this was introduced by one of our teachers a few years ago.

For the project you will need:

yellow, white, and another color of 9 x 12 construction paper
scissors

cotton balls
yellow streamers cut into strips
glue

First I ran any color piece of construction paper through the copier so that one side said, "In like a LION....," and the other side said, "Out like a LAMB...."

On a piece of yellow construction paper you will want to run off the lion, and on the white construction paper you will run off the lamb.

The children cut out both the lion and the lamb and glue them to the appropriate side of the first paper.

The final step is to decorate. Use the yellow streamers for the lions mane. I find it easiest to let the children make ring of glue and add the streamers. For the lamb I just used some cotton balls for some fluff at the top of his head.

Thanks for the great idea. I work with challenges adults, and they love things like this.

Sorry for the mistake on the word challenged...didn't notice it until it was too late.
