Finally I wanted to add a seasonal post. We haven't gotten around to many of these yet, next week.
My first post is very easy. The beautiful and easy to make paper snowflake. You have to go over to preschool daze and check out her class' beautiful snowflakes. She even used paper plates--never thought of that.
For this craft you will need:
white paper
scissors
To make the snowflake have the children take a piece of white paper. Fold the paper over a few times. Then give then some scissors and allow the to cut. Each snowflake is going to come out unique and they can't help but be pretty. I used two square pieces of paper. For the snowflake at the top, I rounded the edges to make it look like a circle.
Have fun creating your winter wonderland with these.

We do snowflakes using coffee filters too. Pretty easy for kids to cut. I hope to have pictures tomorrow.
Any tricks to making a nice looking snowflake? Not one of my strong points, but would love to make one that looks normal! Ha, Ha!! I blogged about snowflakes today and suggested a neat book about a man who photographed snowflakes. Take a peek if you get a chance. Hope you are having fun back in class with the little ones. Homeschooling via Cyberschool has been damanding,but going well!

Love the snowflakes! My students have decided they'd rather paint this month than cut so I think I'll sneak in some snowflakes to accompany their snowmen next week!
