Big Fish Games

Many parents often ask me about computer games and if I am familiar with them. To be honest, my children did not play that many computer games so I am pretty unfamiliar with them. A friend of mine referred me to this site, Big Fish Games, and I thought it might be helpful to many parents out there.

The site allows one to play a game for one hour. I think in the hour one could get a good idea if the game is what they are looking for. You could even let your child play the game to see if they are capable of the skill level. It also allows you to purchase the game through the site if you would like, of course.

The site has many, many, many kinds of games in it. The link I have given is the link to the kids page. There are lots of popular character games: Dora, Diego, Spongebob, Lego's, etc. I think one could find any type of game on this site.

So, if you are thinking about purchasing a game, but are unsure, take a look here and maybe you can give it a try. Good luck.

Thank you so much for this timely tip! We are stuck home today without a car and rain in the forecase. This could really come in handy!

That looks like a neat site and I noticed they have an i-spy game. My girls love the i-spy books, so this should be fun for something different. Also, we love starfalls.com. This site is awesome!! My preschooler actually is working on this site weekly for preschool. She does a letter a week. It is interactive and so cute, but also has so much educational value! If you get a chance to check it out, let me know what you think!! My 4 yr old loves pbskids.com, too. She is too computer savvy for her age- I have to limit her computer time!!

Thanks for the starfall update. I'm going to check that site out. I love to have things to share with the parents. Nowadays, when computers are such a large part of life--this is an area where I am still learning. It's helpful to have other sources gving me ideas.
